Sanjeev Goenka, the not so proud owner of IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has disabled his social media comments section after facing widespread backlash over reprimanding captain KL Rahul after ugly 10-wicket loss against SRH.

LSG was brutally thrashed by SRH in Hyderabad earlier this week after the hosts chased down 165 run target inside 10 overs courtesy to Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma's carnage.

And the humiliating loss angered business owner Sanjiv Goenka as he was captured having a go at captain KL Rahul on air after the game.

The video of the animated discussion went viral on social media, thus attracting criticism over Goenka's unacceptable behaviour, with many suggesting the discussion should have happened behind closed doors and not in front of a billion people watching.

Since then, LSG went on complete radio silence on social media, with rumours of KL Rahul's termination from captaincy gaining momentum.

Meanwhile, in the latest move to curb scrutiny, Sanjiv Goenka has restricted the comment section of his Instagram account. With the fear of heavy trolling from fans, Goenka has restricted the number of social media users who can comment on his Instagram posts.

That being said, the rumour mill hasn't stopped working ever since the controversial incident panned out.

Some speculations suggest that Sanjiv Goenka apologised to KL Rahul for his outburst, whereas a few media reports also claim that Rahul could be dropped by LSG in the upcoming mega auctions.

LSG's 10-wicket loss to SRH massively dented its playoff campaign, as LSG will now have to rely on other teams to pave their way to the top four spots on the points table.
