In a surprising move, Jake Lush McCrum, the CEO of Rajasthan Royals, has parted ways with the IPL franchise. McCrum, who was with the Royals for a long time, has decided to exit the franchise, adding to the recent changes in the team’s management.

RR has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this year. After a shambolic IPL 2025 campaign, where they finished 9th, head coach Rahul Dravid was shown the exit door after just one season.

CEO Jake Lush McCrum Leaves RR After Long Stint

In another shocking move, Rajasthan Royals has reportedly parted ways with long-term CEO Jake Lush McCrum, as reported by Cricbuzz. McCrum, originally from England, had worked in various roles within the RR organisation before being promoted to CEO.

His departure comes as a shock to many, especially considering his significant contributions to the franchise’s operations. McCrum reportedly informed fellow franchises and industry friends about his exit in a series of calls.

Just a week after Dravid’s exit, Jake leaving the CEO post raises a lot of tough questions on the future of RR in IPL. Not to forget, rumours of Captain Sanju Samson seeking a trade before the 2026 season haven’t died down either.

Sanju Samson’s Future Still Up In The Air

Despite Rahul Dravid’s exit as head coach, experts believe Sanju Samson could still leave Rajasthan Royals before the 2026 IPL season. According to Cricbuzz, RR has been divided into 3 groups, one which backs Yashasvi Jaiswal, one on Riyan Parag’s side and another one filled with Samson’s loyalists. This rift in ideologies reportedly led to Dravid’s exit. Now Samson is apparently yet to put his foot down, meaning a trade could be more or less on the cards.
