KL Rahul who was signed by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2025 season proved his worth with a stellar campaign so far. The opening batter crossed the 400-run mark in the league on Sunday and also slammed a stellar century against the Gujarat Titans. Now, due to his brilliant outing, BCCI is set to reward him.

As per a report by TOI, KL Rahul, who is going through a brilliant run of form is set to be included in the India T20I squad for the series against Bangladesh. The tour is likely to take place during the month of August.

Why BCCI are interested in bringing KL back?

KL Rahul last played a T20I game for India against England in the T20 World Cup in 2022 at the Adelaide Oval. Since then he has been out of the side with other names being preferred. Now, BCCI are probably interested in bringing KL back due to his middle-order prowess.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Abhishek Sharma are likely to open, and while the middle order looks strong, it needs a bit of experience and KL could provide just that. Plus, his IPL exploits go in his favour, as the batter slammed a terrific century against GT last night and broke several records.

KL Rahul IPL 2025 exploits

This season has been a revelation for the Karnataka batter. He has been DC's best batter and the numbers tell the story. In 11 matches he has racked up 493 runs, which includes a solitary century as well. Plus, he is striking at 148.05 and perhaps the selectors are impressed with his numbers.
