The Kolkata knight Riders (KKR) won the Indian Premier League title last season, and a lot was expected of them in the ongoing season. The team, however, made some questionable signings in the mega auction and the results were right in front of everyone as the season was a massive let down.

KKR replaced Shreyas Iyer with Ajinkya Rahane as the new captain and the team failed to reach the playoffs as they got crashed out. Also, they spent a massive INR 23.75 crore on Venkatesh Iyer, a decision which raised eyebrows. As a result of this poor performance, an overhaul is expected next season with Chandrakant Pandit's job in danger.

England's greatest ODI captain to replace Chandrakant Pandit?

As per a report by Anandabazar Patrika, KKR are considering sacking Chandrakant Pandit after an underwhelming season and are keen on appointing the former England and KKR captain, Eoin Morgan as their head coach from next season onwards.

Morgan was the one who revolutionised England cricket after the 2015 World Cup exit and also took KKR to the finals of the IPL in 2021 season, where they lost against Chennai Super Kings. He is held in high regards by the franchise and they could make a move for him after the ongoing season.

DJ Bravo's job in danger too?

As per reports, KKR view the partnership between bowling coach, Dwayne Bravo and Chandrakant Pandit as an unsuccessful stint and they are planning to replace Bravo as well. While last season, almost every KKR bowler delivered the goods, this season, things have taken a U-turn as KKR faltered and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

He is liked by many players in the dressing room, however, the management feels Bravo is not serious with his job.
