Delhi Premier League 2024 is now into its 10th game, and it is a clash between West Delhi Lions and East Delhi Riders. It has been an interesting tournament so far, and to add to the excitement, Vivek Yadav, the West Delhi batter was out hit-wicket which created lot of drama at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

It was the first delivery of the fourth over and Himanshu Chauhan bowled a back-of-a-length delivery angling into the right-hander Vivek Yadav. 

He defended it to the left of the turf and initially looked for a single, but his partner sent him back. However, the bigger shock came moments later when East Delhi players celebrated the wicket, and Vivek Yadav found that one bail is on the ground.

It was his back leg that hit the stump while he tried to ride the bounce and defend it, and it is surely one of the most unfortunate dismissal in cricket.

Vivek Yadav scored 12 off 8 balls, but Ankit Kumar at the top of the order played some brilliant shots and smashed 73 off just 44 balls. His knock too West Delhi to 182 and would be hoping to topple the table-toppers East Delhi with a win in this important match of DPL 2024.
