Ben Stokes, the regular English Test skipper injured his hamstring during The Hundred 2024 and was ruled out of the two-match Test series against England. He was expected to make his comeback in the Test series against Pakistan in October, but his recovery seems to be be going at a better pace than initially expected and just two weeks after the injury, he is back in nets performing his batting drills.

England's Barmy Army has posted a video of Ben Stokes batting in nets on their official X handle. Stokes is seen playing drives comfortably and it is a great news for England who have the white-ball series lined-up against Australia after the Sri Lanka series.

Uncertainty Over Ben Stokes' White-Ball Future For England

It is not clear whether Stokes will play that series as he has been concentrating his energies on red-ball cricket in recent times. He last played white-ball cricket for England in World Cup 2023, and decided to skip even the T20 World Cup 2024 to stay fit for Test cricket.

The all-rounder was also seen bowling regularly in the Test series against West Indies, and all English fans would be hoping that he gets back to his best soon and play all formats for England.
