The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has received a legal notice to remove Shakib Al Hasan from the national cricket team. Notably, an FIR has been filed against the legendary all-rounder, accusing him of being involved in the killing of a garment worker, Md Rubel.

Therefore, considering Shakib's potential involvement in the crime, a Supreme Court lawyer, Barrister Sajib Mahmood Alam, has sent the aforementioned notice to the BCB on behalf of another lawyer, Md Rafinur Rahman.

They have demanded Shakib's ouster from Bangladesh's national side, as he is among the accused in a murder case. They have also urged the cricket board to bring Shakib back to Bangladesh in order to facilitate the murder investigation and hearing.

In addition to Shakib, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, 156 named persons and 400-500 unidentified persons have also been named accused in the case.

For the unversed, Shakib Al Hasan's political career is in jeopardy after a new government was formed following Sheikh Hasina's ouster.
