MS Dhoni was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame earlier this week in an event organized by the apex body on June 9. The former Indian captain became only the 11th cricketer from his nation to claim the prestigious honour, joining the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid and others.

Dhoni was among seven cricketers to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame on June 9, alongside Matthew Hayden, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Sana Mir and Sarah Taylor. Nonetheless, a day after getting recognized by the global body for his contributions towards the sport, the 43-year-old was felicitated by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) President Ajay Nath Shah Deo.

JSCA Salutes MS Dhoni For ICC Hall Of Fame Induction

Jharkhand-lad MS Dhoni has been felicitated by JSCA President Ajay Nath Shah Deo in Jharkhand after the former Indian captain was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. In a photo shared by the JSCA and currently circulating around social media, the cricket administrator can be seen gifting Dhoni a flower bouquet while posing for a picture.

Dhoni recently represented the CSK franchise in IPL 2025 season, and even led the team after regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad opted out of the tournament midway owing to an injury. As it happened, Dhoni’s CSK finished the league at the bottom of the points table.

Nonetheless, MS Dhoni was recognized by the ICC for his vast contributions towards Indian cricket. During his leadership days, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter led Team India to a historic title victory at the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ICC ODI World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

One of the most decorated cricketers in history, MS Dhoni continues to entertain his fans in the IPL. At the age of nearly 44, he will likely return for CSK next year for another season.
