It has been a week since IPL 2025 got over, and RCB lifted their maiden trophy after they beat Punjab Kings by six runs. It was a nail-biting match as the Challengers, batting first, put 190/9 on the board courtesy of a forty-plus knock from Virat Kohli.
In reply, the Kings lost wickets at regular intervals, but Shashank Singh kept the hopes alive and played a brilliant innings of 61 (30). However, the Kings fell short of just six runs. The fans slammed the top order for not providing the desired start.

Nehal Wadhera was also at the helm of criticism as the southpaw had a night to forget and scored just 15 (18), which included a solitary six. His sluggish knock was rejected by the fans and he received a lot of hate for that innings.
In the latest events, Wadhera has opened up on the heartbreaking final and blamed himself for the defeat. Speaking to Hindustan Times, the 24-year-old remarked that if he could have accelerated in time, then PBKS would have lifted their first-ever title.
"I totally blame myself for the IPL 2025 Final. If I had played better, we could've won the IPL. Earlier in the tournament, when I had to accelerate, I did it and it paid off except for the last game," Nehal remarked while speaking to the Hindustan Times.

As mentioned by Nehal, he failed to click in the crucial and most important match of the season. Otherwise, the 24-year-old had a brilliant season and was among the runs.
The Southpaw was not the first choice in the playing XI but made his place into the team after a few games. He fully utilised the opportunity and scored 369 runs in 16 innings.
