BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah has mentioned that India is the powerhouse amongst all cricketing nation, and that is the reason they take 40% of the ICC revenue.

With the introduction of IPL in 2008, the cricketing landscape changed as BCCI became the richest board and took control of the things. They became the super-power, and have been at the top of the Mount Rushmore since the inception of the IPL.

The Indian cricket board takes majority of the ICC revenue, which has created ruckus amongst other cricketing board.

Jay Shah asserted that India is the only team which travels everywhere, and hence, they share a good bond with all the cricket playing nations.

He further added that India get 40% of the revenue, but other countries, too, benefit economically when a tour takes place with India.

"India is the only team that travels everywhere - the benefit we get from that is our relation with other boards gets stronger & the economy of the other country improves because of India - that is why we get 40% share from ICC with revenue but in turn, other countries too earn," Jay Shah said to TOI.

Jay Shah further talked about numerous topics. The BCCI secretary mentioned that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma won't participate in the Duleep Trophy 2024 as the team management wants to take care of their workloads.
