Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, are two of the biggest names in cricket today. While one plays for India, and has already reached the status of one of the best batters of the world, the other is a Pakistan superstar, who is already on the path of greatness.

Cricket fans from both the nations have a dream, and that is to witness Babar and Virat in the same team, playing with each other. The two cricketers share a great rapport, and are often seeing having light discussions off the field.


So, what if Virat and Babar were teammates?

Interestingly, both the players have a similar style of play, and thus, the two would have complimented each other really well. 

The pair of Virat and Babar would have worked wonders in Tests and ODIs. Both have similar way of approaching the game, especially in ODIs. It would have been a dream for many to see them, piercing the gaps in the ODIs, and scoring runs at will. The two batters average more than 50s in ODIs, and the team would have won more matches, thanks to their contributions.

In Tests, the two would have provided solidity in the middle-order. Both exceptional timer of the ball and would have played at number 3, 4 in Tests, thus becoming a headache for the opposition captain.

However, the duo of Kohli, Babar wouldn't have worked in T20Is. As stated, both the great batters play in a similar style, which has become outdated in T20Is. They both take time in the beginning, and then change gears as the game progresses.

In T20Is, you need batters who can play aggressively right from the beginning. With Kohli and Babar, it becomes a problem, and thus, a lifeline for the opposition.
