Jasprit Bumrah, the charismatic Indian pacer and arguably the best bowler in the world currently is now the number 1 ranked Test bowler in the latest ICC rankings. The Indian star has displaced South Africa's Kagiso Rabada to take the top position and has jumped two spots to take the apex position.

The Indian bowler was previously at the number three position, but he picked eight wickets in the first Test match of ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, and it has boosted his ratings to 883 and he is now 11 rating points ahead of the second-ranked Kagiso Rabada. Josh Hazlewood who picked five wickets in the first Test has dropped one place and is now ranked number three. Ravi Ashwin though has jumped one spot to number four, despite not playing the Perth Test.

Australian skipper Pat Cummins, on the other hand, has moved out of top five after he picked three wickets in the match. Nathan Lyon too had dropped one place to number eight, so Aussies have suffered a bit after the Perth Test loss.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Moves To Number 2 Position After 161 Against Australia

Indian batters too have benefitted after a strong performance and Yahasvi Jaiswal has gained two places to move to the number 2 position after his stunning knock of 161 in the second innings. However, Joe Root stays at top with a huge difference of 78 rating points while Rishabh Pant is the other Indian in top 10.

Virat Kohli too has improved his rankings drastically and is now ranked 13 in the ICC Men's Test Batter Rankings. He has jumped nine places after his century in the Perth Test. Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin hold the mumber 1 and number 2 position despite their abence from the historic Test win against Australia.
