The IPL 2025 is not going Chennai Super Kings way, and the same thing is happening in the match against SRH. Their batting has struggled big time, and their legend, MS Dhoni has also not been able to do anything significant. 

Harshal Patel Outfoxes MS Dhoni

In the game against SRH, he fell for six off 10 balls and his wicket was taken by Harshal Patel. It was the third ball of the 17th over and Harshal Patel with all his experience and skills, bowled it slower in pace, outside off. It was shorter in length too, and MS Dhoni went for a fierce cut shot. However, he only managed to hit it straight to Abhishek Sharma at point. 

The wicket was a big blow to CSK's hopes of getting to a big score, and naturally SRH fans were pretty happy. Kavya Maran, who is also present to cheer her team was seen clapping in joy, and overall SRH have put themselves in a strong position by cleaning up CSK for 154.

CSK Need Bowlers To Step Up On The Sluggish Chepauk Track

CSK got over 150 on the basis of handy knocks by two youngsters, Ayush Mhatre and Dewald Brevis. Both of them displayed intent, but could not carry on their start as SRH pacers made timely inroads. Harshal Patel picked four wickets while Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat bagged two each.

Deepak Hooda also played a decent knock to take the score over 150 at the backend, but CSK now need their bowlers to step up. SRH batting line-up has not fired upto their billing so far, thus, if CSK get early wickets, they can make a match out of it.
