New Zealand announce ODI squad [Source: @BLACKCAPS/x]
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced a 13-player New Zealand squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Pakistan. Several off-duty international stars like Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips and national captain Mitchell Santner failed to make a cut into the squad, considering each of the four aforementioned cricketers are engaged in IPL 2025 action in India.
In the absence of several first-choice New Zealand stars, the NZC named two uncapped players for the Pakistan series in the form of Nick Kelly and Muhammad Abbas. The series between the two nations is scheduled to kick-off on March 29 at the McLean Park in Napier.

A few days prior to the launch of New Zealand’s three-match ODI series against Pakistan at home, the NZC named a 13-player squad for the ‘Black Caps’, featuring a healthy blend of experience and youthful exuberance. As per the update, wicketkeeper-batter Tom Latham is set to lead the hosts in the absence of national captain Mitchell Santner.
The likes of Santner, Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips are currently in India plying their trades for the ongoing IPL 2025 season. In their absence, Wellington Firebirds duo Nick Kelly and Muhammad Abbas received their maiden national call-ups. Here is a look at New Zealand’s entire squad for the Pakistan series.
