Team India is all set to have a six-day preparatory camp for the Asia Cup 2023 while also taking into account a jam-packed ODI season that awaits the players.

Apart from the Asia Cup, India will play a three-ODI series against Australia, before featuring in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in October. The camp starts on August 25 in Alur and has already seen the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma arrive.

Members involved with India's T20I tour of Ireland will join the camp on August 25. The main focus of the preparatory camp will be to keep players fit and hone their skills.

As reported by News18, the BCCI has arranged as many as 14 net bowlers for the camp, keeping in mind the main bowlers do not suffer from burnout.

Here's what BCCI official said

"In addition to the Asia Cup squad, 14 net bowlers will be part of the Asia Cup preparatory camp. The idea is to ensure intensity and quality of net sessions is right up there and it doesn’t burn out the bowling resources."

The camp will be supervised by head coach Rahul Dravid, who will be present along with other support staff members and will be joined by men's senior selection committee members headed by Ajit Agarkar.

Another key priority will be on KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who are making a return from an injury. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna's fitness will also be closely monitored, who made a return to international cricket against Ireland.

India begins its Asia Cup 2023 campaign against neighbours Pakistan on September 2.
