Today, the schedule for the much-awaited ICC World Cup 2023 was unveiled by the BCCI and the ICC. The tournament is set to be hosted by India across ten different venues and will be played between October 5 and November 19.

Much like the 2019 edition, the 2023 World Cup will be competed between 10 teams in a round-robin and knockout format.

South Africa, one of the powerhouses in ODIs, will have their campaign started on October 7 against one of the qualifiers. They will then face five-time winners Australia a week later in Lucknow. Their most prominent fixtures include matches against defending champions England on October 21 and host India on November 5.

Their nine fixtures are spread across eight Indian venues, with only Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium hosting the Proteas twice in the tournament.

  • South Africa vs Australia: October 12, Lucknow, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs Netherlands: October 17, Dharamsala, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs England: October 21, Mumbai, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs Bangladesh: October 24, Mumbai, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs Pakistan: October 27, Chennai, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs New Zealand: November 1, Pune, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs India: November 5, Kolkata, 2.00 PM IST
  • South Africa vs Afghanistan: November 10, Ahmedabad, 2.00 PM IST

All fixtures will be broadcasted live on the Star Sports Network.
