ICC Slaps Rashid Khan With A Sanction For Dissent During The Thriller vs BAN

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has shown its disapproval of Afghanistan skipper, Rashid Khan's actions during Afghanistan's clash against Bangladesh in their final game in the Super Eights in Kingstown on June 24.

The ICC reprimanded Rashid for the incident that took place in the final over of the first innings where Afghanistan was struggling to set a good total on the board to defend and make it to the semi-final of the T20 World Cup.

Rashid Khan Penalised For Expressing Too Much On The Field

At the 19.3 over mark, when Rashid faced Tanzim Sakib, he attempted his trademark snake shot to which he wanted a double. Karim Janat, however, denied the skipper for a double. The furious Rashid expressed his displeasure by throwing his bat at his teammate. He was brought back on the strike with a single as he finished the innings with a six.

ICC went on to slap him with a sanction following their historic win which took them to the semi-final against South Africa. He finished the match with a match-winning performance of  19*(10) which included three sixes and 4/23 with the ball while also dismissing the destructive Towhid Hridoy and Mahmadullah.
