How Mohammad Amir And Usman Tariq's Brilliance Has Taken TKR On Top Of CPL Table

While the Asia Cup 2025 is obviously a hot topic in the world of cricket, silently, there is a league which has produced quality matches, and some of the world’s best T20 hitters are playing in it - the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Six teams have been fighting hard to win the trophy, but at the moment, one team looks unstoppable - Trinbago Knight Riders.

The team has won five out of their six matches, and have all the bases covered as the side looks firm favourites to clinch the trophy. While almost everyone has contributed to TKR's success, two Pakistan players have shone brightly and have played a key part in their journey so far.

1) Mohammad Amir - the star with the ball

• 9 wickets in six matches, with an economy of 8.38, define Mohammad Amir’s brilliant CPL 2025 journey. He has not only taken wickets, but has taken them at crucial junctures to help TKR win matches. 
• Who could forget the delivery to dismiss Tim David?. It turned the tides in TKR’s favour, and the franchise would be hopeful that he continues to deliver the goods in remaining games.
• He has often taken wickets in the power-play, which has disrupted the opposition batting lineup.

2) Usman Tariq - The wily spinner who has run riot

Usman Tariq has played just 3 matches in the CPL, and the wily 27-year-old spinner has already left a great impression, taking 8 wickets in just three matches, with an average of 11.25, and an economy of 7.50. Interestingly, in only three games, the spinner dominated the proceedings and grabbed eight wickets to help his side win important games.

Both him, and Amir have grabbed 17 wickets between the two bowlers, and it has helped TKR continue its domination.
