It was another scintillating win for India after Yashasvi Jaiswal's consecutive double-hundred and Ravindra Jadeja's all-round show sealed the deal for the home side by a mammoth margin of 434 runs.
Men in Blue looked in control of the game right from the start as skipper Rohit Sharma took the honours to score a century in the first innings, with Jadeja scoring an impressive hundred, too. Sarfaraz Khan was undeniably outstanding on debut as he smashed fifty in both innings of this game.
The series, now in India's favour with a 2-1 lead, has helped them earn crucial points on the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. This was after they were languishing below Bangladesh with 38 points, but back-to-back victories have given them a boost.
With 50 points to their name in seven games, India have a percentage of 59.52%, which gives them second position on the table behind New Zealand, who are placed first.
The BlackCaps have three wins in four games, as 75% keeps them at the top of the table after having 36 points. With 66 points, the Australian side is third, as they have secured 55% of the points.

Meanwhile, the visiting English side is having a tough time in the middle after winning the first game. Despite playing impressive cricket recently, the Ben Stokes-led side is eighth on the table with 21 points, just above Sri Lanka who have none of it.
The remaining two games of the series will be crucial for both sides as fighting for the top two spots is about to intensify.
