The Pakistan Super League 2024 is up and running and the season has started off with a bang. There were plenty of fireworks in the opening game and the same has continued in the second match with Quetta Gladiators crossing 200-run mark while batting first against Peshawar Zalmi. However, it was Babar Azam's catch of Saud Shakeel that limited the damage otherwise things could have gone lot worse.
Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel started brilliantly with 157-run opening stand before Saud Shakeel fell for 74 off 47 balls in a bid to deposit another one over the fence. It was the 16th over of the innings, and Luke Wood bowled a slower bouncer, around off. Saud Shakeel tried to pull it but got a huge top edge.

The ball went high in the air and towards mid off and it seemed that the ball will land in no man's land. Babar Azam at mid off though sprinted to his left, judged the ball brilliantly and took a superb running catch.
That wicket slowed down Quetta's charge as the middle order could not capitalise on a stunning start by their openers.
