The Caribbean women are on a white ball tour to Australia for three T20Is and Three ODIs. The Australian women's team have won the three-match WT20I series by 2-1. The series was nothing but fireworks of boundaries and maximums and Hayley Matthews from West Indies was a major contributor to the fireworks. 

Hayley Matthews scored her third consecutive WT20I 50+ score but could not help the Windies chase down the total in the third WT20I. Australia women posted a mammoth total of 190 in the first innings. In this decider, West Indies just needed to chase 190 to claim the series. But no other player could score 30+ except Hayley, who got out on 79. 

Hayley Matthews becomes the highest scorer of the WT20I series

This was Hayley's third 50+ score in the three match series. She was named the Player of the Series and the Player of the Match as well. Her 79-run knock in the decider was not enough for the Windies to win the game and clinch the WT20I series. 

She also became the highest scorer of the series with 310 runs and broke the record of Sophie Devine, becoming the player with the most runs in a WT20I series. Sophie's best was 297 in the series against South Africa women. 

With the scores of 99*, 132, and 79, Hayley Matthews has owned the series with her breathtaking performances but was unfortunate to end up on a losing side. Hayley will look to carry the momentum in the ODI series which will begin in a couple of days in Brisbane. 

Being the captain of the Caribbean women, Hayley has led the team from the front and set up an example for her teammates to go out and play their natural game.
