Currently playing for Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, bowling all-rounder Hasan Ali has re-signed with Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC) for the upcoming County season.

This will be Hasan's second stint with Warwickshire, having played six County Championship, and T20 Blast in the 2023 season, picking up 33 wickets combined.

The 29-year-old will be available for both the County Championship and T20 Blast this season and will group the club in late March post the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for pre-season training.

In a statement, Hasan expressed his delight over coming back to Edgbaston for another year.

Here's what Hasan said

"The boys have always showed love to me and encouraged me. I really enjoyed my season with Warwickshire and was very keen to return. I feel I’m playing in my second home and I’m very comfortable in the dressing room. I didn’t feel like I’m playing in another country or another franchise."

"I can’t wait to come back. Warwickshire is one of the best teams I’ve played with. The environment is good, we play brilliant cricket and the boys are so talented. The players, staff and supporters looked after me so well and hopefully 2024 will be a good year for the Bears when I return."

First Team coach Mark Robinson welcomed Ali back into the setup, stating how the Pakistan pacer inspires everyone around him.

Ali made his County debut in 2022 while playing for Lancashire County Cricket Club before shifting base.
