Indian captain Rohit Sharma joined the training session in Bengaluru ahead of team’s final World Cup 2023 league fixture against Netherlands. The dashing opening batter was joined by teammates Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul among several others.

A notable absentee from the training camp was Virat Kohli, who recently punched out his 49th ODI century against a rampaging South African attack at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Indian captain and in-form opening batsman Rohit Sharma was accompanied by batting partner Shubman Gill, newly joined Prasidh Krishna, speedsters Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, wicketkeeper KL Rahul, all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur at a training camp in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, the likes of Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Shami among a few others skipped the training session, as they most likely took a break from team’s hectic cricketing schedule.

The Indian team is slated to face a spirited Netherlands side at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on November 12. The match marks the final league fixture for the ‘Men in Blue’ prior to their imminent semi-final showdown, set to take place in either Mumbai or Kolkata next week.

Team India, under Rohit Sharma, continues to remain the only unbeaten side of the 2023 World Cup, as they have won each of their first eight fixtures of the tournament to be placed at the top of the points table. A win over Netherlands in their final league outing will preserve their juggernaut prior to the knockouts, as they will enter the semi-finals at the top of the table for the third time in succession in World Cup events (after 2015 and 2019).
