One of the hottest properties in world cricket is England's promising batter, Harry Brook. Brook has had a phenomenal rise in international cricket and has been lured by various franchises to play in T20 leagues.

In a bid to safeguard Brook for national services, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are planning to offer the Yorkshire batter a multi-year contract, which will increase his match fees as well as per a report in The Daily Mail.

Brook, who stared for England in their recent Test win over Australia at Headingley in the ongoing Ashes 2023 series, went for INR 13.25 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Apart from Brook, senior players like Ben Stokes, Joe Root, and Jos Buttler will also be handed out multi-year deals in October. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) are reportedly eying a four-year deal with Buttler, who plays for several of their sister franchises as well.

Jofra Archer and Jason Roy have also been linked to full-time contracts by Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, respectively, making their availability less for international cricket.

The current ECB contract offers players up to £900,000 annually, apart from being paid match fees. The ECB maintains that if a player does not sign the central contract, the chances of representing England will not take a hit.
