In total, 18 players from England have confirmed their participation in the SA20 2024. SA20 is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament held in South Africa and organised by Cricket South Africa (CSA) and first contested in the year 2023.
English cricketer Moeen Ali moves to SA20 as teams announce retentions and fresh signings. Some of England's big names make it to the the list of the 2024 edition of the SA20 league.
Moeen Ali has gone to last season's runners-up Joburg Super Kings, whereas famed all-rounder Liam Livingstone and opening batter Tom Banton will represent MI Cape Town. Meanwhile, Dawid Malan and Liam Dawson have been picked up by shielding champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
The second season of SA20 league is scheduled to take place in January 2024, with a part of it set to overlap with England's Test trip to India. So, a majority of the English players committed to the SA20 are unlikely to feature on that tour.
England's limited over captain Jos Buttler will return for a second stint with Paarl Royals, who share the same owners as the Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals.
