The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 15-member squad on Monday for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Ireland. Harmanpreet Kaur and fast bowler Renuka Singh Thakur have been rested for this series, with Smriti Mandhana stepping up as captain and Deepti Sharma appointed as the vice-captain.
The action kicks off on January 10th at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, where the teams will battle it out in three ODIs. Young opener Pratika Rawal, who made a splash on her debut against the West Indies, has kept her spot on the team.
Also sticking around is middle-order batter Tejal Hasabnis, as the management looks to continue giving key players consistent opportunities with the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup just around the corner. All-rounder Raghvi Bist, who has played just two T20Is so far, is getting a shot in the ODI squad, and Sayali Satghare is joining her for her first call-up to the Indian women's ODI team.
