Hardik Pandya Returns To Mumbai Indians Ahead Of IPL 2024

In a significant development, ace Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has marked his return to his former franchise Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2024. Earlier, Pandya was said to be retained by Gujarat Titans when the retention list of all teams were made public. However, in a dramatic sequence, Pandya has rejoined MI, shocking fans and experts. 

Earlier, several renowned media houses had reported that Pandya would leave GT and join MI for the upcoming season of the tournament. However, the broadcasters disclosed that GT had retained the all-rounder, with the deal not being completed due to some reason. 

But in another development, Cricbuzz reported that the all-cash deal successfully took place between Gujarat and Mumbai as soon as the retention lists were made public. As a result, Pandya will be joining Mumbai Indians, whom he represented in the initial part of his career. 

After making his IPL debut, Pandya gradually established himself as a core member of the side, helping MI clinch four titles through his incredible all-round attributes. However, a slump in form resulted in his departure from the side, with MI roping in Cameron Green into the setup. 

Thereafter, he joined Gujarat Titans and led them to title in his very first outing as skipper in the IPL. He also took them to the final in IPL 2023, where they lost to Chennai Super Kings in an intriguing face-off.
