IPL Auctions 2024: Mumbai Indians Retained Players Full List, Remaining Slots & Purse Amount

On Sunday, the ten IPL franchises- Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans- submitted the final list of their retained and released players ahead of the auction next month. 

Talking about Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions roped in Hardik Pandya back in their side via an all-cash deal with Gujarat Titans. 

Before the auction, Mumbai Indians decided to release Jofra Archer, who rarely played for them owing to injury issues. They got 8 crores back in their purse by releasing the English pacer. 

Besides Archer, MI also released Tristan Stubbs, who had a string of poor outings for them last season. They also left out most of their overseas bowlers- Duan Jansen, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith, Chris Jordan- alongside domestic players like Arshad Khan, Ramandeep Singh, Hrithik Shokeen, Raghav Goyal and Sandeep Warrier. 

Earlier before the auction, MI had traded West Indian all-rounder Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants through a cash deal of INR 50 lakhs. Later, they traded Cameron Green to RCB, bringing Pandya into the side via an all-cash deal of INR 15 Crores with Gujarat Titans.
