Ace Afghanistan paceman Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed five wickets in the game to be adjudged as ‘Player of the Match’ after opening batters Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran conjured identical 70s at the top.
While the outcome helped Afghanistan claim the top spot on the 2024 T20 World Cup Group C points table, it also helped them attain a significant landmark in the history of the tournament.

Afghanistan, under the leadership of Rashid Khan, crushed a hapless Uganda unit by a huge 125-run margin in Guyana on June 4. The outcome marks the fourth largest margin of victory (in terms of runs) in the history of the T20 World Cup.
