'God's Plan Baby' - Fans Elated After Harshit Rana's India Selection; Samson's FanClub Upset

On July 2, 2024, BCCI made changes to the 15-member squad for the first two T20Is for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour from July 6. The apex board replaced World Cup heroes Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal as they are stuck in Barbados because of Cyclone 'Beryl'.
Harshit Rana earned his maiden India call-up, while Sai Sudharsan also earned his maiden T20I call-up for the Men in Blue. Other than them, Jitesh Sharma has also been named in the revised 15-member squad.
There are reports that the Men in Blue will reach India on Wednesday night and likely to meet PM Narendra Modi. However, the fans are upset that Samson and the other two World Cup heroes have been excluded from the Zimbabwe tour, while Khaleel Ahmed and Rinku Singh, who are also struck in Barbados because of the Cyclone, are still a part of the 15-member squad.
Talking about Harshit, KKR posted a story on Instagram with Rana and Rinku Singh in a single frame and captioned it 'God's plan'. Meanwhile, Samson fans were unhappy over their star player again being left out.
