After the IPL was introduced to Indian cricket, the entire scenario has changed. It's just not all about the cricketing thrills; franchises now stand firmly behind their players, offering unwavering support both during the season and beyond.

The Lucknow Super Giants have done something similar. LSG pacer Avesh Khan, who has undergone surgery, the franchise covered all his medical expenses and is also taking care of his rehab.

LSG Wins Hearts With Their Thoughtful Gesture

After trading pacer Avesh Khan in the IPL 2024 with the Rajasthan Royals, the Lucknow Super Giants brought him back in the IPL 2025 auction with a whopping amount of 9.75 crore. Coming back to the team, the Indian pacer showcased his excellence. In 13 matches, he secured 13 wickets with an economy rate of 10.28.

After wrapping up the IPL, Avesh underwent a major surgery on his right knee on June 17 in Mumbai under orthopedic surgeon Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. With that move, his cricketing journey took a pause, but LSG’s heartwarming gesture during his tough phase won hearts.

In this crucial time, the Lucknow Super Giants have taken full responsibility for his treatment. The franchise is also supporting him during his recovery and rehabilitation process, standing by their player throughout.

Injury Pushes Back Avesh Khan’s Ranji Comeback

As the 2025-26 season of the prestigious Ranji Trophy is commencing on October 15, the injury puts a potential setback on Avesh Khan’s return to the game. Due to the injury, the LSG pacer is all set to miss the first half of the domestic tournament and is expected to return in the second half.

Adding to that, another LSG pacer has also suffered a major injury blow. Mohsin Khan recently had knee surgery to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament and set to miss the first half of the upcoming Ranji Trophy for Uttar Pradesh.
