Veteran Madhya Pradesh batter and Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar is likely to miss the upcoming Duleep Trophy. The stylish right-hander has yet to fully recover from a hand injury that kept him out of a few IPL matches in the 2025 season.

Patidar Advised To Rest; Likely To Get Fit For Ranji Trophy

According to a TOI report, experienced batter Rajat Patidar is currently rehabilitating from the hand and heel injuries which he sustained during the IPL 2025.

Although he is actively participating in Madhya Pradesh's off-season training camp, the 32-year-old hasn't been involved in intense batting sessions.

Furthermore, the BCCI medical team has advised him to rest in order to keep himself fit for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. Therefore, in all likelihood, he will miss the Duleep Trophy tournament where he represents the Central Zone.

"Rajat is training at MP's off-season camp, but he's not been batting, as he has been advised to take a break and recover from the injury in his right hand by the BCCI's medical team. He will miss the Duleep Trophy but should be fine for the Ranji Trophy," a source was quoted as saying by TOI

Mayank, Avesh, Mohsin Out Of Action For Six Months

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants' fast bowlers Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav are expected to miss plenty of action due to injury concerns. These three pacers went under the knife after the IPL 2025 season.

While Mayank underwent back surgery in New Zealand, Avesh and Mohsin got their troublesome knees operated by a specialist in Mumbai. As a result, Mayank could be sidelined for six to eight months, while the other two bowlers will likely be ruled out of the initial half of the upcoming domestic season.

So, considering their proneness to injury, LSG could consider replacing them with fitter pacers ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
