India’s dynamic middle-order batter, Rishabh Pant, who has had a challenging run in Australian series, finally turned his fortunes around in the second innings of the fifth Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) on January 4.

The left-hander’s blistering knock came at a crucial time when his side needed him the most, with India looking to set a competitive target.

Rishabh Pant's Fiery Knock

Rishabh Pant entered the crease on a difficult Sydney track, where runs had been hard to come by. However, the wicketkeeper-batter wasted no time in asserting his intent. His positive mindset was evident as he raced to a rapid fifty in just 29 balls.

His whirlwind innings of 61 runs off 33 balls injected much-needed energy into the Indian camp and provided a glimmer of hope for posting a challenging total. Pant’s fearless strokeplay allowed India to get some valuable runs in the second innings, but his stay at the crease was cut short when he was dismissed by Pat Cummins.

Though his knock was brief, Pant’s impact was significant. His cameo gave India a vital boost, leaving the bowlers with something to work with as they look to defend a competitive target.

His innings also received widespread praise from fans, with Twitter flooded with appreciation for his aggressive approach in tough conditions. So, in this article, let's take a look at a few Twitter reactions that went viral in no time.
