England, New Zealand & Bangladesh Set To Feature In Blockbuster 2024-25 India Home Season
India will kickstart home season with series against Bangladesh (X.com)
On Thursday, 20th of June, BCCI released the much-anticipated schedule of Indian home season which will kickstart with Bangladesh series and will be followed by series against New Zealand and England.
The home season will kick-off with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting from 19th of September at Chennai which will be followed by three T20Is against the same team. Shortly after the Bangladesh T20I series, New Zealand will visit India for a three-match T20I series and lastly, England will travel for the white-ball series which includes five T20Is and three ODIs.
India's Home Schedule -
There are a total five Test matches in the home season. Chennai and Kanpur will host Test matches against Bangladesh, while Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai will host New Zealand Test matches.
The schedule also includes a total 8 T20Is while only three ODIs are scheduled, which will be against England at the end of the season. There could be a change in guard in Indian cricket after the T20 World Cup, while the captaincy debate has still not started, a new head coach is all set to join the Indian team in place of outgoing Rahul Dravid after the marquee event.
