Since returning, he has been bowling better than ever before. Ian Bishop has lauded praise for how smart and consistently good he has been.

Bishop in awe of Bumrah's brilliance

In a recent interview with PTI, Ian Bishop talked about how street-smart Bumrah is with his variations, lines, and lengths which separate him from the rest,

"Jasprit is smart, a good communicator. He's got pace, but he also knows better than many bowlers where to use his variation," Bishop told PTI.

About the unique action that the Indian ace speedster carries and the reputation that he has built in recent years for his lethal bowling:

"He's got that unique action where the ball gets on to you a lot quicker. That's partly why those full tosses sometimes don't get smashed because they race onto you.

"When you develop that reputation…when I bowled with Curtly Ambrose, Matthew [Hayden] never put a foot wrong against Curtly because of his reputation, but he'd look to smash me. This guy is a generational bowler," Bishop concluded.

In the ongoing World Cup, the 30-year-old has already proven his worth with his exceptional spell of 3/14 when India successfully defended 120 against arch-rivals, Pakistan in New York.
