After a crushing defeat at the hands of PBKS, CSK head coach, Stephen Fleming also confirmed that Chahar's condition is not looking good, giving a potential hint about the seriousness of his injury.

In the last update, CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan stated that the pacer suffered an injury in the last match and reports are awaited to see the condition of Chahar's hamstring.

"Deepak injury is not looking good. I will not say he is ruled out of the season but doubtful," Kasi Viswanathan, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings said of their new ball bowler, who pulled his hamstring. Chahar managed only two deliveries before walking out of the ground during their last game, against Punjab Kings at the Chepauk."

Viswanathan also confirmed that Chahar hasn't travelled with the squad for their next game, as the rehabilitation process might begin soon.

The right-arm pacer has a history of injuries, which has hampered his IPL and international career. Another CSK pacer, Tushar Deshpande is down with flu, but he has travelled with the squad and the medical team is assessing his health situation ahead of the reverse fixture against PBKS.
