CSK in Trouble! Deepak Chahar Ruled Out Of IPL 2024? Gets Injured During CSK vs PBKS IPL Match

Chennai Super Kings faced a setback during their game against Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chepauk as their star pacer, Deepak Chahar had to walk off the field due to a hamstring injury he sustained as he came to bowl the very first over.

It has been understood, that while he was completing his run-up following the second ball of the first over, he pulled his hamstring which resulted in a strain. Before he walked off the field he had a chat with CSK skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad and then left the field looking really unhappy and disappointed as this isn't the first time he has been troubled with a hamstring issue. Deepak Chahar has had a long history of injuries, he even missed out on IPL 2022 season due to hamstring injury.

In his place, Shardul Thakur was tasked with completing the over and Rachin Ravindra came in as the substitute fielder. 

Talking about the game, PBKS have had a rocking start they managed to stop CSK for just 162 runs. It hasn't been Chennai's evening so far, as they have been marred by injury once again. Just before the match began, Gaikwad disclosed that their leading-wicket taker Mateestha Pathirana has unfortunately got a niggle and Tushar Deshpande was feeling unwell, hence they will be missing out the game.
