The 51st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 takes place between the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders.

The two teams have had different paths in the tournament. While the Mumbai Indians are struggling at the 9th position in the IPL points table, KKR are stationed at the second spot and a win here will almost take them on the verge of playoffs.

The head to head record stands with Mumbai Indians, but the Knight Riders will be eager to get the two crucial points at the Wankhede stadium.

MI Vs KKR Toss update

Mumbai Indians won the toss and Hardik Pandya had no hesitation in bowling first. The Wankhede surface tends to get better under lights and as a result the decision to bowl first comes in.

Not surprisingly, Mumbai Indians have removed Mohammad Nabi from the playing XI. The Afghan all-rounder has been lacklustre and as a result has been excluded. In his place, Naman Dhir comes in, who impressed everyone in the first couple of matches. Morever, Rohit Sharma is in the impact subs, which makes it obvious that he'll come to bat in the second innings.

As far as KKR are concerned, they are going in with the same team that feature against DC, barring one change. Harshit Rana has been banned from this game, and he has to sit out.
