You don't often see Jasprit Bumrah getting outsmarted by the opposition, especially in T20s. However, it actually happened on Friday when MI took on KKR in Match 51 of IPL 2024 at Wankhede Stadium.

And it was Manish Pandey whose brilliance while playing short delivery against Bumrah left Wankhede silent.

It was the third ball of the 14th over of KKR's innings, when Bumrah bowled a short of a length delivery outside the off stump. Manish was waiting for it, and he cleverly played an audacious ramp shot. The ball easily cleared the fence for half-a-dozen, as Pandey showed all his class while playing it.

Coming in as an impact substitute, Pandey scored a steady 42-run knock, which came off 31 balls. He smashed two sixes and as many fours before Hardik Pandya took his wicket during the 17th over of KKR's innings.

At the time of writing this, KKR are 155/8 in 17.4 overs, with Venkatesh Iyer batting on 57* off 41 balls. Mumbai are in complete control after Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field first.
