You never know what can happen to the opposition when Iftikhar Ahmed is on fire. The Pakistan all-rounder is a serious hitter of the white ball and has the potential to become extremely violent.

And he demonstrated his abilities on Wednesday night as well during Multan Sultans' Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Islamabad United, which took place at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Coming to chase 167 against Shaheen Afridi & Co. after Fakhar Zaman show, Iftikhar had one job to do: go hard against Zaman Khan. And he did exactly that, bludgeoning 24 runs off five balls to seal the deal with an over to spare.

With the victory, Multan Sultans kept their spot at the top of the points table, having won all three matches thus far. The Qalandars, on the other hand, have lost three in three, resulting in them languishing on the fifth place on the points table, only above Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi.

Notably, Rizwan was named the Player of the Match after a swashbuckling 59-ball 82, while Iftikhar remained unbeaten on 34* off just 11 balls.
