MS Dhoni, ex-captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and a beloved figure in Indian cricket, recently flaunted his new look just days ahead of the IPL 2025 retention. Dressed in casual attire, Dhoni was captured arriving on sets on a shoot, and his sharp hairdo and overall fit received massive love from the fans.
One of India’s most successful captains, MS Dhoni relinquished his CSK captaincy to announce Ruturaj Gaikwad as his successor in IPL 2024. He played the entire season with visible physical limitations, and now, with the mega auction in sight, his future in the league remains uncertain.
While the IPL governing council relaxed retention rules for retired players, allowing them to be retained in the uncapped category, MS Dhoni has yet to meet with CSK owners to convey his desire to continue his IPL stint with the franchise.
MS Dhoni dazzles in slick look ahead of IPL 2025
Having said that, before the retention deadline approaches, MS Dhoni is working on his fitness and looks to once again woo the fans. In a recent video that surfaced on the internet, MS Dhoni was seen walking around a shooting set in casual attire.
He donned a blue oversized T-shirt with white pants, and his slick golden highlighted hair added more charm to his new look. Notably, Dhoni recently visited celebrity hair stylist Aalim Hakim’s studio to get a new hairdo, and the short hair certainly suits him.
Hopefully, fans will witness the same look on the field soon. The IPL 2025 retention deadline will close on October 31, and MS Dhoni is expected to reach a decision before that.
MS Dhoni scheduled to meet CSK owners
Sportstak recently reported that MS Dhoni remains unavailable for a meeting with CSK owners until October 28. Hence, the two parties have agreed to meet on either October 29 or 30 to decide on the wicket-keeper’s future. Contrary to speculations, the CSK owner confirmed that the franchise has not yet decided to retain Dhoni as an uncapped player after the IPL released new rules.
