In form, Shivam Dube, who had been performing well for the CSK faced a pungent dismissal, departing for a golden duck.

Stephen Fleming Opines That Shivam Dube Has Improved His T20 Playing Style
In a recent press conference that was conducted after Punjab Kings defeated CSK on May 1, 2024, in the cash-rich league. Stephen Fleming praised Shivam Dube for his incredible form in the IPL.
When asked about Shivam Dube, he said that he has great hopes for the all-rounder in the upcoming T20 World Cup and he also praised the cricketer for his commendable form. He also added that he can be the man to look out for India in the marquee tournament.
"Yeah he's fantastic. I think he has proven this year that there's a lot more to him than just hitting spinners. He gets raw power which we think have seen at the start of the tournament, something that really impresses us and he has, consistently during the tournament, done that." Stephen Fleming told media reporters in Chepauk.
The 30-year-old cricketer will play his first ICC event, he had earlier made his debut in the T20I against Afghanistan. In the ongoing IPL, Shivam Dube has smashed three half-centuries and has scored 350 runs in 9 matches with a strike rate of 172.41.
Dube inclusion in the T20 World Cup offers India a strong option in the middle order. His explosive batting and potential with the ball provide much-needed depth and flexibility to the team’s strategy.
