Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 51st match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 3, 2024, at the famous Wankhede Stadium. 

Hardik Pandya & Co. will enter this game facing defeat in three consecutive matches against Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. 

In their last fixture, LSG won the match by 4 wickets and this time the side will be aiming to get back their winning momentum as they are placed in the 9th position in the points table. 

On the other side, KKR have played commendable cricket this season and comfortably sit in the second position in the the points table. Shreyas Iyer and team had won their last match against DC by 7 wickets.

Mumbai Indians, have one of the most powerful middle order, with notable names like Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Nehal Wadhera and Tim David. Although the batters have made significant contributions with the bat at number 3, Suryakumar Yadav has not been in his best form for the season so far. 

MI all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Mohammad Nabi have not had a good tournament so far and the team would want them to return to form. The MI captain has scored 197 runs with the bat in 10 matches and has scalped 6 wickets in 10 matches at an economy of 11.00. 

The main concern for MI is the bowling line-up, despite having big names like Piyush Chawla, Jasprit Bumrah, Luke Wood and Nuwan Thushara. 

The only proper and designated spinner for MI is Chawla with Mohammad Nabi as the second spinner. Gerald Coetzee could replace Luke, providing depth to the bowling attack, while Romario Shepherd might come in for Mohammad Nabi to add depth.

So, MI will likely drop the Sri Lankan bowler, Nuwan Thushara, from the team as he did not perform well in the last few matches.
