In the 17th match of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, Chris Jordan, the right-arm pacer, clocked a massive record and completed his 100th wicket in T20I against Australia on June 9, 2024 at the Kensington Oval Barbados.

The England cricket team pacer Chris Jordan scalped 2/44 versus Australia and completed 100 T20I wickets, and became the second Englishman to attain this milestone.

Jordan played his 92nd T20I match against Australia and scalped his 100 wickets when he dismissed Australian all-rounder, Marcus Stoinis.

However, besides him, Adil Rashid is the only other England bowler with 100-plus scalps. He owns 111 wickets at 25.37. Notably, Chris Jordan is the only bowler with three four-wicket hauls in T20Is for England.

Talking about the match, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first against Australia. The Aussies showcased a comprehensive performance, and secured a clinical 36-run victory over England, making it two wins in a row in Group B of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

Australia posted a formidable total of 201/7 in their 20 overs, with significant contributions from David Warner and Mitchell Marsh. Almost every Australian batter chipped in with valuable runs, helping them surpass the 200-run mark.

England struggled to match Australia's intensity, with Adam Zampa claiming crucial wickets, including those of Jos Buttler and Phil Salt. Despite Chris Jordan being the standout bowler for England with two wickets, it wasn't enough to prevent Australia's dominance.
