The Caribbean legends are back and they mean business! The West Indies Champions have officially dropped their squad for the upcoming World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, and it is bursting at the seams with firepower, flair and nostalgia.
West Indies Reveal Power-Packed WCL Squad
From power-hitters like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, to veterans like Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Sulieman Benn, the squad is a perfect combination of Caribbean swagger and cricketing pedigree.
The West Indies Champions have gone all in on star power. Leading the batting arsenal are big hitters Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Smith and Lendl Simmons, while the pace department is stacked with names like Fidel Edwards, Shannon Gabriel and Sheldon Cottrell.
The spin attack looks equally spicy with Ashley Nurse, Sulieman Benn, Nikita Miller, and Dave Mohammad in the mix. And if that wasn’t enough, the calm presence of Shivnarine Chanderpaul gives the experience it needs.
Also part of the mix are Chadwick Walton, Williams Perkins and Tharindu Rathnayake, adding depth and balance to an already loaded side.

WCL 2025 Set To Return With A bang
The second edition of the World Championship of Legends kicks off on July 18 and will run until August 2, with matches to be played across four English venues – Edgbaston (Birmingham), County Ground (Northampton), Grace Road (Leicester) and Headingley (Leeds).
Each of the six teams: India Champions, Pakistan Champions, Australia Champions, South Africa Champions, England Champions, and of course, West Indies Champions will face off in a round-robin format before the top four advance to the knockouts.
The final is set to take place at Edgbaston on August 2, promising a high-voltage showdown.
It is worth mentioning that the inaugural edition in 2024 saw India Champions led by Yuvraj Singh lifted the trophy. But this time around, with the Windies coming in hot and heavy, it’s anybody’s game.
