As the much-anticipated five-Test series between India and England kicks off on June 20 at Headingley, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released an exclusive video capturing Team India’s intense net practice sessions in England.
The footage offers fans a rare glimpse of key players, including captain Shubman Gill, senior batter KL Rahul, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, and Shardul Thakur, as they sharpen their skills and fine-tune their preparations ahead of the series opener.

The video, shot in England during a net session, shows the Indian squad embracing the challenge of English conditions, with KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan and Pant working meticulously on their batting technique, facing throwdowns to hone timing and shot selection.
Notably, Jasprit Bumrah was absent from the net sessions, signifying his recovery from injuries as he is doubtful for all five Tests for India.

Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj put in disciplined bowling drills, testing their lines and lengths to exploit the swinging and seaming conditions. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was also seen in action, ready to play a pivotal role with both bat and ball.
Gill Eyes To Form Core Of India's Test Setup
Shubman Gill, India’s youngest Test captain since Sachin Tendulkar, shared his mindset ahead of the series, emphasising a clear vision for the team.
“Everyone is so young and it will be relatively easy and exciting to mould this team into what we would want the next 10-15 years of Indian cricket to become.” Gill said.
KL Rahul earlier added his thoughts about Gill leading the squad, stating,"It's a new group, we are missing a few senior players and it's a young team lead by a really young captain."
Gill’s leadership will be under the microscope as he leads a relatively inexperienced side, stepping into the void left by the retirements of stalwarts Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin.
