Rohit Sharma's antics never gets old, be it on the field or off the field and recently, Mumbai witnessed a lighthearted moment involving team India veteran Rohit Sharma when a fan tried to follow him to his car during a rainy day. A video that surfaced on social media captured Rohit hilariously bantering with the fan.

Rohit Sharma's Fan Encounter Goes Viral!

In the social media clip that has gone viral, Rohit Sharma was seen poking and nudging the fan in Marathi.

Rohit told the fan in Marathi, “Are Kay karto tu mala samaj nahi aya, puran gondhal Karun takla tumhi, chala bhetato bhetato,” which translates to, “What are you doing man? Creating chaos. Let’s meet again soon.”

The 38-year-old’s witty remark brought smiles to many as he gently reminded the enthusiastic fan to ease up before heading inside his car.

Rohit Sharma Looks Up To Bangladesh ODIs

Rohit Sharma had recently retired from Test cricket in May 2025, about a month before India’s England tour. His decision came after a difficult outing in Australia, where he managed only 31 runs across three Tests. Over his illustrious Test career, Rohit played 67 matches, scoring 4,301 runs with 12 centuries, leaving behind a legacy as one of India’s finest openers.

After the IPL 2025 season, Rohit was last seen at the inauguration of the Mumbai T20 League 2025 held at the Wankhede Stadium, where he shared a charming moment with his wife Ritika, catching the attention of fans and media alike. 

He had a good IPL season bagging 418 runs in 15 matches at an average of 29.86, contributing consistently with the bat and playing a key role in his team’s campaign. Looking ahead, Rohit Sharma is set to feature in the Bangladesh ODI series which will start on August 17 and will conclude on August 23.
