Jack Leach, England's Premier spinner has been ruled out of the whole series due to a left knee injury. The Somerset spinner was touted as England's premier spinner coming into this five-match Test series but injured his knee in the first Test and was subsequently ruled out of the second Test.

He is now set to fly back to UK from Abu Dhabi where the England team decided to stay in a long break between the second Test and third Test at Rajkot.

It has also been confirmed that England will not announce any replacement for Leach which means Tom Hartley, Rehan Ahmed and Shoaib Bashir are three spinners in their squad.

The series is levelled at 1-1 after India made a strong comeback at Vizag after losing the first Test at Hyderabad. England have shown great adaptability so far, and have challenged India in both Tests, setting stage for an enthralling series.

Also, England were the last team to beat India in a Test series at their home conditions, and would be looking to repeat that feat with their unusual Bazball tactics. India, on the other hand, would be continuing without Virat Kohli in this series but the good news is that, KL Rahul looks on his way to make a comeback at Rajkot for third Test.
