Bumrah update [Source: @FoxCricket/x.com]
The India Vs England Test series is just around the corner but the Indian team has already received two major jolts in the form of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. While Shami is doubtful for the 5-match Test series and is unlikely to be included in the Test team, Bumrah has also given a massive headache to the selectors.
Bumrah gives bad news to Team India selectors
As per Express Sports report, Bumrah has informed the selectors that his body can't take the toll of more than three Tests and hence, the ace pacer could sit out of a couple of Test matches on the England tour. This has increased the selector's dilemma who want fit bowlers on the England tour since the conditions their require pacers to bowl longer spells.
Bumrah returned from a back injury in the ongoing IPL and has been sensational for the Mumbai Indians, however, it seems the pacer is unsure on his ability to bowl longer spells in English conditions.
Bumrah's recent injury record
During the Border-Gavaskar Series Vs Australia, Bumrah was India's lone warrior and pushed his body past his limits as the pacer broke down in the 4th Test and missed a chunk of the final Test match in Sydney.
As a result, he failed to recover on time and was also ruled out of the Champions Trophy in February-March. After vigorous training and rehabilitation, he made his comeback for the IPL, but has now give a massive headache to the selectors as the squad is set to be announced on Saturday.
