For his outstanding effort with the bat, Ishan Kishan has been awarded Player of the Match, as he struck 94 not out off 48 deliveries with seven boundaries and five sixes to bat at a strike rate of 195.83, helping Sunrisers post 231 on the board, where he remained unbeaten till the end.

It was another magnificent game of cricket here in Lucknow, where the Sunrisers Hyderabad side batted first and put up a giant total of 231 on the board after the end of the 20 overs, with six wickets down. As Ishan Kishan remained not out till the end and he scored 94 off 48 deliveries with five maximums. Whereas Aniket Varma's nine-ball 26-run cameo and Klaasen's 24 runs proved useful, alongside Abhishek Sharma's 34 off 17 deliveries. Romario Shepherd was wonderful with the ball, picking up two wickets for 14 runs while the rest of the bowlers chipped in with a single wicket.
In reply, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru were outstanding to start their innings. Virat Kohli was in ultra-aggressive mode, scoring 43 off 25 deliveries as he fell after scoring seven boundaries and a maximum. Phil Salt was slow to start, but went aggressive too in the end, before being sent back for 62 off 32 deliveries. A few runs in the middle couldn't help Bengaluru in any good way as they crumbled under pressure after going extremely well until the 14th over mark, after which they lost more wickets. They were eventually bowled out for 189 in 19.5 overs after losing their first wicket by the end of the seventh over.
Eshan Malinga's outstanding spell of 2 for 37 in four overs, where he also enforced a direct hit run out of his own bowling, helped Sunrisers make a comeback, while skipper Pat Cummins was terrific with figures of 3 for 28 in his four overs, powered the Sunrisers to victory by 42 runs.
